As many Regional and Municipal buildings and programs close, the Region of Waterloo International Airport has been designated as critical infrastructure and will remain open.

The Region of Waterloo International Airport and Aviation Fun Day committee would like to say thank you. It is the volunteers that donate their time, aircraft and expertise to make this event a success every year!

December 18 marked Sunwing’s first flight of the season from the Region of Waterloo International Airport to Cancun. 

Residents of the Waterloo Region can look forward to twice as many ways to escape the cold this winter; Sunwing is doubling its destination offerings from the Region of Waterloo International Airport with the addition of a new direct weekly flight service to Cancun, Mexico. 

During the 33rd Annual General Meeting of the Airport Management Council of Ontario (AMCO), members of the association voted to elect skilled and dedicated airport professionals to the Executive level of the Board of Directors.
