Waterloo Region to Host National Business Aviation Convention in 2018
The Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) is pleased to announce that it has selected the Region of Waterloo International Airport and the Chartright FBO as the site of its summer 2018 national convention. This is Canadian business aviation’s premier event, attracting hundreds of delegates and featuring a roster of international and Canadian speakers, exhibitors and Canada’s largest static display of private and corporate aircraft.
Attending the Chartright Open House on June 16th, Mr. Toering discussed the importance of a close working relationship between all airports, FBOs and business aviation operators, emphasizing the association’s commitment to supporting Canada’s network of hub and non-hub airports, which are essential to business aviation as well as to Canada’s connectivity.
Mr. Toering said “the Region of Waterloo International Airport is an excellent example of an airport that is integrated with city and community planning and connects a large number of Canadians, Canadian companies and economic opportunity, to the world. With the Chartright FBO as well as the other facilities at the airport, including the full service Flite Line FBO, you have made it possible to increase business aviation’s capabilities to serve this region – and that is a very good thing for everyone.”
Business aviation is a $10.9 billion sector, employing over 43,000 Canadians in every region of the country.
“The Region of Waterloo International Airport is pleased to be co-hosting the 2018 CBAA National Convention with Chartright Air Services.
