Region Confirms Helicopter Crash on Regional Property

Waterloo Region – The Region of Waterloo International Airport confirms that the Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue team responded to a helicopter crash at 11:32 a.m. this morning along with Woolwich Township and the City of Cambridge Fire Departments, Waterloo Regional Police and Regional Emergency Medical Services. 

Waterloo Regional Police have confirmed that there were two passengers on the helicopter and one succumbed to their injuries.  Emergency crews are still at the scene and the cause of the crash is under investigation by the Transportation Safety Board.
