Media are invited to attend the third annual Make-A-Wish® Go Blue! Go Bald! head shave

Waterloo Region, Ontario. January 14, 2010.  WestJet today announced that for the third year in a row WestJetters and community members from Kitchener-Waterloo will participate in the Go Blue! Go Bald! head shave event, shaving their heads to support one of the airline's national community investment partners, Make-A-Wish®.

"We are very proud, once again, to be part of this amazing event. It is an event that allows us to be ourselves and do what comes naturally - care," says Rui Pinto, Kitchener-Waterloo WestJet station manager. "WestJetters care for our guests, each other and our communities. I am very fortunate to work with such an amazing group of individuals and for a company that truly values people."

Go Blue! Go Bald! will take place on March 6, 2010, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Region of Waterloo International Airport in Breslau to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish Southwestern Ontario. WestJetters will also provide volunteer support at the event.

Make-A-Wish Southwestern Ontario grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.  In 2009, Make-A-Wish Southwestern Ontario granted 84 wishes.
