Flair Airlines inaugural flight to St. John’s, Newfoundland takes off from the Region of Waterloo International Airport.
Region of Waterloo, ON – This morning, Flair Airlines’[HA1] inaugural flight to St. John’s, Newfoundland departed from the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF). This route brings much-needed affordable fares to the province along with opportunities for expanded tourism on the East Coast. Flights will operate twice a week starting May 6, 2024, and will increase to three times a week as of May 27, 2024.

This is the first direct connection between the Region of Waterloo and St. John’s, Newfoundland. To celebrate, YKF enlisted Waterloo resident and five-time Canadian Country Music Association Fiddle Player of the Year, Shane Guse to create a kitchen party atmosphere in the departure lounge.
