Air Service Development

The Region of Waterloo International Airport welcomes interest in expanding air service and adding new destinations to our route map.

The airport is centrally located in southwestern Ontario, 45 minutes west of Toronto. The airport's catchment area extends approximately 35 km around the airport equating to a market of over 2 million passengers annually.

Incentives and marketing support are available for airlines looking to establish non-stop air service to destinations not currently available. The airport's onsite marketing team is also available to connect airlines with key businesses across the community to help launch and sustain new route development.

  • Two Runways - 7,000 and 4,100 feet
  • CAT1 Instrument Landing System
  • NAV Canada Control Tower
  • Class C Airspace
  • Airport of Entry (AOE) with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) onsite
  • CAT 7 Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) available
  • Secure access to Code C (B-737) and D (B-757) Taxiways
  • Full service Fixed Based Operator (FBO)/Fuel Service
