On June 18, the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association Flight 26, based at the Region of Waterloo International Airport, presents a unique opportunity for children between the ages of 8 through 17 to experience flying in a small plane.

The Region of Waterloo International Airport throws open the doors for a fun-filled, free day of demonstrations and displays!
Grab your comfy shoes and explore the airport on foot. Learn how the aviation industry operates with stops at the Airport's Terminal Building, Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre, Royal Canadian Air Cadet Youth Development Centre, Great Lakes Helicopter and Flite Line Services.
See airport equipment, vintage aircraft and classic cars; meet pilots from the Canadian Owners & Pilots Association and Recreational Aircraft Association; and take a scenic flight (additional fees apply). Fun for the whole family.
Parking $4 per vehicle. Bring a donation to support the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank and Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
The Region of Waterloo International Airport's Operations Centre was built in 2011 to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver standards and features environmentally sustainable technologies.
Maintenance, fleet, fire and rescue services operate from the facility, enabling airport's team members to work on-site and provide storage for the specialized vehicles and equipment required for the airport's operation.
Visitors will have a unique opportunity to see the airport's fire fighting and snow fighting equipment up close and speak with the Airfield Specialists who operate the equipment.

The Region of Waterloo International Airport provides an educational tour program for students from Kindergarten to Grade 3. Tours take place Tuesday mornings from September through June and last for approximately 1.5 hours.

WestJet Cares for Kids needs your used books and magazines!
We need your gently used books and magazines to stock our latest fundraising program the "WestJet Book Cart". All funds raised are donated to local charities while keeping used books and magazine out of landfill sites. Guests can purchase books and magazines from the self-service cart located in the departure lounge by making a donation to the WestJet Cares for Kids program. To date over $7,000 has been raised.|
