About the Airport

The Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) is a full-service, customer-friendly facility that supports commercial, corporate and general aviation. 

2015 Airport Facts & Figures 

The airport is centrally located in southwestern Ontario (Canada), in the Township of Woolwich, bordered by the cities of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph. The airport is only 45 minutes west of Toronto with convenient access to the Highway 401 corridor. 

Passenger Services

WestJet provides daily non-stop service to Calgary and weekly non-stop seasonal service to Orlando on Tuesdays (January 24 to April 25, 2017).

Sunwing also provides weekly seasonal service between Waterloo Region and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on Thursdays (December 22, 2016 to March 23, 2017).

Passenger amenities include: free wireless high-speed internet, a bank machine, a licensed sit down cafe (valid boarding pass required), charging stations, complimentary luggage carts and well-lit outdoor parking adjacent to the terminal. 

The Region of Waterloo International Airport is an accessible facility. It is important to notify your air carrier or travel agent when requesting special assistance with your flight reservation. Please contact your air carrier directly for information on wheelchairs, passenger escort services, transportation within the airport and support with checking-in, boarding and arriving. 

Business Services

The airport is home to a number of aviation-related businesses including: corporate aircraft charters, refuelling, air cargo, helicopter and aircraft flight training, avionics, customs clearance and hangar space. The airport is classified as an Airport of Entry (AOE) by the Canada Border Services Agency.
