How do I get to the Airport?

Where can I fly to from the Airport?

Year-round non-stop daily flights to Calgary with connections to other great destinations. 

Seasonal non-stop weekly service to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

How early do I need to arrive before my flight?

The following times are recommendations provided by the Region of Waterloo International Airport.  Please verify times with your airline directly. 

  • WestJet Airlines recommends two hours prior to scheduled departure
  • Sunwing Vacations recommends three hours prior to scheduled departure

How do I check Arrival and Departure times?

Arrivals and Departures

Flight information is provided by the Region of Waterloo International Airport on behalf of the airlines. It is the airlines' responsibility to maintain flight information. To confirm information contact your airline directly.

 How many bags am I permitted to check in, or carry on my flight?

Baggage restrictions vary by airline. For information on baggage allowances contact the airline directly.

What type of items am I allowed to carry on board or pack in my luggage?

Visit Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) for information on restricted items and packing tips.

I had an item confiscated during security screening. How can I get it back?

If you had an item confiscated during your security screening you must indicate at the time of confiscation that you would like to have the item returned. Items must be picked up within 90 days or they will be destroyed. If you do not indicate that you would like your item returned, it will be destroyed after 30 days.

To request the return of confiscated items contact the Security Desk in the Airport Terminal Building or call 519-648-3370.

Parking, Dropping off & Picking up Passengers

How much is parking?

The airport offers Pay and Display parking at a rate of $9 per day. The first 90 minutes of parking are free.  The airport also offers long-term parking at a rate of $63 per week.

I want to drop off/pick up a passenger. Where can I stop my vehicle? 

The Airport permits vehicles to pull up in front of the Main Terminal Building to drop off/ pick up passengers. Parking Information and Rates

Where are the accessible parking spaces located at the Airport?

Accessible parking spaces are located beside the rental car / ground transportation area and in the overflow parking lot. Access spaces through the Main Parking Lot Entrance. For drivers who do not have an Accessible Parking Permit, but are driving passengers that require assistance, contact your Airline before you arrive at the Airport to make the necessary arrangements.

I was issued a parking ticket. How can I pay it?

Parking tickets can be paid at the Township of Woolwich Office or by mail.

Is the airport wheelchair accessible? Are wheelchairs available?

The airlines operating at the airport offer on-site wheelchair assistance for guests with physical limitations. Contact the airline prior to departure in order arrange this service.

Where can I eat at the Airport?

A cafe, sit-down dining and licensed food service areas are available in the Main Lobby and Departures Lounge of the Air Terminal Building.

Is there Wi-Fi available at the Airport?

The airport offers free high-speed wireless Internet service throughout the Air Terminal Building. Visitors can connect using a laptop or wireless device by enabling their wireless adapters and connecting to the "RMOW-Public" airport network.

Noise Concerns

How do I submit a noise concern?

The Region of Waterloo International Airport is committed to meeting the needs of industry and community stakeholders by maintaining safe and efficient aircraft operations while managing aircraft noise.

The airport's Aeronautical Noise Management Committee (ANMC) meets quarterly to discuss noise concerns and work towards solutions that foster an amicable relationship between the airport and the surrounding community.
